Abidjan-based label Loza Maléombho creates silhouettes that are both traditional and futuristic, celebrating the old and the new. This tailored dress is made from cotton hand-dyed by local artisans using age-old wax-resist batik techniques, so you know each piece is unique. It features cut-out bell sleeves and a flattering cinched waist with peplum panels on the hips for a modern touch. Anchor the flared skirt with chunky heels.

Established in New York City in 2009, Loza Maléombho’s self-titled brand soon made its way to the Côte d’Ivoire, a country in which the designer spent much of her childhood. Her pieces are crafted by local Ivorian artisans and feature bold decorative details—an ode to the synergies between Ivorian tribal aesthetics and New York City’s urban style.
