  • Insider Notes

Nigerian label Emmy Kasbit is noted for its mastery of crafting unique Akwete textiles into strong, bold shapes. Case in point: the Akudo Skirt is made in Lagos by local artisans with a smart pleat at the front to enhance the way it moves. The design is embellished with contrasting embroidery and falls to a knee length. We like it styled with a silk shirt and strappy sandals or with the Omi Shirt.

    - Belt loops, side pockets, midi length
    - Akwete
    - Sustainably and ethically made by local communities, with the mission to preserve traditional craft techniques
    - Each piece is made to order by artisans and can take up to 3 weeks to complete
    - Made in Lagos, Nigeria, ships from Nigeria

Founded in Nigeria by Emmanuel Okoro, Emmy Kasbit was born out of a passion for dressing the unconventional man and woman with fierce sartorial instincts, using traditional West African weaving techniques.
